There are some rules to follow if you join:

• You must agree to like, share and comment on any Facebook advertising used for this giveaway

• You must join the designated Facebook group for coordination purposes

• You must provide your email address and author name to take part in the giveaway

• You must pay $100 USD to enter into this list builder

• The list builder will run when we have 10-15 participating authors

• This list builder will involve highly targeted Facebook advertising to entice new and fresh readers

 

When will the builder run?

This builder will run as soon as practical after we receive 10-15 participating authors.

 

What does my payment cover to help promote the giveaway?

Your payment pays for your share of the giveaway prize and all advertising costs to help advertise the giveaway.

 

Is this GDPR compliant?

Of course. We will provide a .csv file with entrant names, email addresses and proof of each entrant's agreement that they understand they are signing up to the newsletters of every participating author in the giveaway, and that they can unsubscribe from participating author newsletters at any time. Our processes are fully transparent. If you have fulfilled your obligations as listed in the rules, you will receive the list at the end of the promotion period.

Terms and Conditions

By paying to enter a newsletter builder with Romance Books to Read (the Service provider) and submitting this form, you (the Client) agree to the terms and conditions below.

 

• All reader emails shared with the Client are for the Client's use only and must not be shared.

• The Service provider is not responsible for the use or consequences of the use of such provided emails.

• There are no refunds once services have been provided.

• The Service provider does not guarantee the number of emails gathered by any event, nor the accuracy of information provided.

• The Service provider is not responsible for the actions of third party mailing list programs. Please add your list to such systems in small batches to avoid being labelled as a spammer by their guidelines.

• The Service provider does not guarantee unsubscribe rates once emails are used on the Client’s personal email systems.

• The Client must understand he/she is not buying reviews or sales. The Service provider is offering an author newsletter builder giveaway only. Any subsequent interactions between the Client and their list is not the responsibility of the Service Provider.

• The Service provider cannot be held responsible for any actions taken by readers, or others, for or against the Client once this newsletter builder giveaway is concluded​.

• Neither the Service provider, nor it’s founding authors (Charmaine Ross, Fiona Georgiou, Jen Katemi and Kim Cleary), can be held liable for any damages beyond the price the Client paid to engage in the newsletter list builder.

 

INDEMNIFICATION
Client shall hold harmless and indemnify the Service provider, its founding authors and its agents against any and all liabilities, claims, suits, GDPR grievances, or actions of any type whatsoever, arising out of or related to emails collected and provided to the Client (including reader and entrant personal information). This indemnification will survive the cancellation or termination of any contract.

TERMINATION
The Service provider reserves the right, and Client agrees, that Romance Books To Read may terminate any and all services to Client for no cause and without reason upon two (2) days' notice. 

OWNERSHIP OF COPYRIGHTS AND MATERIALS 
Unless otherwise stated or agreed, the Service provider will retain the rights to all graphics and materials used in newsletter builder events.

LIMITATIONS ON LEGAL ACTION 
No action by Client may be brought at any time more than twelve (12) months after the cause of action accrues. 

 

LIABILITY 
Client agrees, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to limit the liability of Romance Books To Read to the Client for any and all claims, losses, costs, damages of any nature whatsoever or claims expenses from any cause or causes, including attorneys fees and costs and expert witness fees and costs, so that the total aggregate liability of Romance Books To Read to the Client shall not exceed Romance Books To Read total fee for services rendered on this newsletter builder. It is intended that this limitation of liability shall apply to any and all liabilities or causes of action, however alleged or arising, unless otherwise prohibited by law.

 

This Newsletter Builder will be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the state of Victoria, Australia, and is void where prohibited by law.

 

These terms and conditions are the entire and final expression of the agreement between the Service provider and the Client and may not be modified or supplemented except by written agreement of all parties. 

 

No failure of Romance Books To Read to enforce any term, right, or condition of these terms and conditions shall be construed as a waiver of that term, right, or condition.
